Origin of the Inspiration:

Initially, I wanted to create a simple eyeglass clip in the shape of a sports car. However, I later decided to design it as a storage box instead, because the sun visor offers plenty of space, andsummer is just around the corner, so items like hydrating sprays, sunscreen, sunglasses, cooling arm sleeves, sun masks, small wet wipes, and more all need to be conveniently stored in the car for easy access.Therefore, I figured I’d make the most of the sun visor’s space.

Why choose a sports-car design? Well, I’ve never modeled a car before, and I’m a big fan of cars myself—plus, I don’t have time to model someone else’s work. So why not take this opportunity to create my own car-themed piece while I’m on the road? In addition, I’ll also build another car model inspired by elements from “Zootopia,” such as zebra crossings, manhole covers, traffic lights, and other details, which will form a more cohesive in-car scene when paired with the first model.

Here’s an introduction to the models:

First, to ensure the quality of the model, the Shuang’er hook not only uses the standard screw fastening but also incorporates adhesive bonding.

Secondly, all screw holes have been reinforced with additional structural modifiers—please do not remove these modifications, to prevent screws from cracking or loosening over time.

Finally, since the back panel is relatively lightweight while the front faceplate is heavier, the back panel requires both screw fastening and adhesive bonding, whereas the front faceplate does not need glue.

The adhesive is applied along the red outline, then the back panel is pressed firmly into place—this makes adhesion much easier!

All panel modules are also bonded with adhesive. Although the process is a bit complex, the final result looks truly impressive. In fact, I almost gave up halfway through (considering abandoning this model and starting something else), but thankfully I persevered.

The magnets used are N52 strong magnets, sufficient for everyday use, ensuring the lid stays securely attached without being too difficult to remove.

The top of the lid features a specially designed nail-shaped latch (a negative part that can be adjusted or removed), creating the illusion of a “sunroof”: you can make it slightly larger to better resemble a sunroof. However, since I need to store small items inside, I couldn’t make it too big to avoid them falling out.
