Design Inspiration:

After moving to a new place, I was thinking of switching to a different number plate and had already started re‑printing the original design.

Just in time for this contest, I decided to redesign a cute sunflower‑shaped plate—perfectly suited to my sunny new home—saying goodbye to rigid, traditional parking signs. Now every time I move my car, it feels like I’m surrounded by sunshine and good vibes!

I also took the opportunity to create some storage‑related models to enter the competition.

This designfeatures a sunflower growing out of soil, symbolizing a life that always faces the sun and thrives in its light.

With the sun always shining, warmth follows wherever you go 🌻—bringing a touch of sweetness and charm even into your car, making temporary parking feel gentle and delightful.

Here are some details about printing this model:

The model file includes numbers 0–9 (shown in area D) along with a sunflower‑head model. You’ll need to perform Boolean operations—subtracting the head from the digits—to create the final shape. Don’t forget to add hole compensation: increase the inner diameter by 0.2 mm and reduce the outer contour by 0.2 mm. The digits should be glued into the flower’s center. If your print is large enough, you can skip the outer contour compensation and save on glue.

You’ll need to glue the digits onto the flower base, as well as attach two layers of petals. Rotate each layer into position carefully—if they get stuck and won’t move, add a few extra drops of glue to secure them. Keep the two layers slightly separated to create depth and visual interest.

The model file comes paired with a 6003 large bearing:

To make things easier for those without a large bearing, I’ve also created fixed versions: one in Area C, and another featuring a manicure‑style bearing in Area B (diameter 12.8 mm, thickness 1.2 mm—versus diameter 12.1 mm, thickness 5 mm).

Area A contains a fixed module designed to replace the bearing in my model, allowing you to easily switch between rotating and stationary modes for fun and play.

If you don’t want the piece to wobble like in the video, simply restore the default outer contour setting—set it to zero—and keep the leaf veins very thin so they’re barely noticeable.

As for materials, aside from the green leaves made from Colorful House’s matte bamboo filament—which tends to soften in summer—I’ve used Top Bamboo’s standard PETG color. For the green leaves, if conditions permit, please use ABS!!At minimum, use PETG with wire reinforcement.After all, the flower head is quite large and heavy; if it gets too hot, the green leaves may droop under the heat.

Once printing is complete, apply nano tape, and your creation will stick firmly to your car.

In summer’s high heat, if possible, please use ABS filament.
