I have always had an idea: I want to make China's intangible cultural heritage paper-cut window grilles move. Chinese paper-cut was selected into the UNESCO Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2009. Paper-cut art is inherited and developed through the combination of intangible cultural heritage protection, education inheritance and new media and modern design.

This year is China's Year of the Horse. Since ancient times, the horse has carried an extraordinary meaning in Chinese culture-it symbolizes the vitality of the dragon and horse spirit, the courage to take the lead, and the success of the horse.
, I combined the traditional Chinese window grilles hand-cut art with the mechanical linkage design to create this year of the horse desktop ornaments.

That can be manual, you can also use the motor motor to become electric. Meaning that in the new year, everyone can go forward without stopping.

assembly is relatively simple, manual version of all 3D printing production, no metal parts, no support. The combination method uses traditional mortise and tenon buckle and 3D printing bolt nut.

The direction of the horse can be adjusted to the left and right will affect the posture of the paper-cut horse running.

The electric version requires an M2.5 * 6 round head screw.

The assembly steps are as follows:

Prepare all prints

The first step:

First assemble the horse part, first assemble the horse head and neck, align the hole of the neck with the embedding of the horse head, and press the hole of the horse head on the other side (the flexibility of different consumables is different, if it is too tight, the hole can be opened for compensation or slightly polished, if it is too loose, glue can be used)

 

The second step

Assemble the horse body part, first align the body pattern, align the rear leg pattern with the body pattern, penetrate the fixing bolt (hexagonal prism bolt), and fix the nut on the other side. (5 nuts universal)

Step 3:

Insert the neck in the body, install the front legs on both sides, and align the pattern with the body. Thread the fixing bolt (hexagonal prism bolt), and fix the nut on the other side. (5 nuts universal). Installation of horse body part complete

 

Step 4:

First, install the gear of the motor (the motor of the extension bamboo marbles assembly) (the manual version does not need to be installed), and pay attention to the direction of the gear.

Step 5:

Fix the motor in the slot with M2.5 * 6 round head screws. Motor gear facing inwards

Step 6:

Install the drive shaft section.

Take the longest bolt (about 20mm) and fix the thickest support rod in the middle of the water drop type eccentric shaft device.

Step 7:

Fix the eccentric shaft transmission transposition to the hole of the base, install a large gear on one side of the short shaft (manual can not be installed), and install a rocker handle on the outer side of the base for the long shaft, and then fix it with large nuts on both sides of the base. The support rod needs to pass through the hole of the top cover, then install the top cover and cover the hole.

The eighth step

Install connecting rod. On the horse head side (left side), use a middle length bolt (about 17mm) to pass through the base hole to fix the two support rods. Pay attention to the position of the short support rod (used to support the horse head). Install the rear rod (used to support the front leg) and fix them with nuts. The direction of the horse can be adjusted by turning the installation position of the top cover (the fixed position of the double rod is the direction of the horse head).

Step 9:

Clip the main support rod into the cylindrical slot of the horse's body, the front short rod supports the horse's head (note that the position needs to be between the two rods), and the long rod supports the hind legs. The rear long bar supports the front legs.
