To facilitate monitoring the irrigation level of flower boxes and enhance ventilation at the bottom, we designed this series of accessories and are sharing them with fellow plant enthusiasts for collaborative discussion and improvement.

For drainage in the flower boxes, I opted for 25-mm pipes, which provide sufficient flow while remaining visually unobtrusive. The primary motivation behind developing this accessory series is to enable real-time observation of water volume and flow rate, thereby preventing pipe blockages. At the same time, the added inspection ports improve airflow at the base of the flower box, helping to prevent root rot.

Based on individual needs, we’ve created several usable angles and styles; users can choose according to their own flower boxes. The model includes a height-adjustable pipe bracket (with two adjustment ranges). If the pipe is excessively long, this bracket can be installed to prevent sagging and deformation over time.

The connecting pipe is supported using a manually modeled structure; after printing, simply break off the supports at the base and inside the pipe.

The reducer adapter is compatible with most standard flower-box drain openings on the market.

The 25-mm pipe connector has also been modified with a reducer design: the outer opening is slightly larger, while the inner opening is smaller. For added leak-proof performance, it’s recommended to wrap two turns of Teflon tape around the 25-mm PVC pipe before inserting the adapter.
