This is the fully realized version of my “Hidden Minute Hand Mechanical Clock” from the “Desktop Clock Series,” perfectly embodying the concept of a “minimalist clock with two types of hands.”

1. Dual-hand design with clear functional division

   • White short hand: the hour hand, featuring a smooth, streamlined shape that indicates the hours.

   • Blue long hand: the minute hand, with a more slender, pointed profile that indicates the minutes. The contrasting color scheme not only distinguishes the two functions but also adds visual depth to the dial, ensuring it never looks monotonous.

2. Hidden minute-hand dial design:

   • The hands are deliberately downplayed on the clock face, with the dial’s recessed grooves serving as their substitute.

• Scale design: instead of traditional numerals, 12 evenly spaced recessed dots are etched along the outer edge of the case, functioning both as hour markers and seamlessly complementing the minimalist aesthetic.

• Modular structure: the case, hands, and back cover are all separate components, making printing and assembly straightforward—and easy for DIY customization down the line.

• Minimalist and versatile: the low-saturation gray, blue, and white color palette, combined with the clean, uncluttered design, makes this piece suitable for a wide range of desk styles, serving equally well as a functional timepiece or a decorative accent.

  Here are the assembly steps:

  Assembly is very simple.

  First, prepare the printed parts and the clock movement (56 mm).
  Next, insert the movement into the slot and secure it with the nut.
  Then simply press the hands into place. They can be freely mixed and matched—note that the holes in the clock case and the hour hand can be scaled proportionally according to the specific clock movement you have to ensure a perfect fit.
