Product Positioning

A hide-and-breeding house specifically designed for ornamental shrimp (such as black tiger shrimp, cherry shrimp, and fire shrimp), which simulates a natural cave environment to reduce stress, increase breeding success, and enhance aquarium aesthetics.

Core Design Features (Addressing Key Pain Points)

  1. Safe Hiding Space:
    • The enclosure features a dense honeycomb perforation/openwork structure (hole diameter 3–5 mm), allowing shrimp to freely enter and exit while providing shelter from fish and other predators as well as protection from intense lighting.
    • The interior space is ample, accommodating both adult and juvenile shrimp simultaneously and preventing predation on the young.
  2. Stable Placement:
    • The base is equipped with non-slip feet or weight blocks, ensuring the unit stays securely in place on the aquarium bottom and resists being displaced by water currents; it is compatible with most aquarium layouts.
    • An optional magnetic or suction-cup version allows the unit to adhere directly to the aquarium glass, saving bottom space and adding depth to the aquascape.
  3. Safe Materials:
    • Made from food-grade PP, non-toxic and water-resistant; it remains dimensionally stable and does not contaminate water quality even after prolonged use in the aquarium.
  4. Easy Cleaning:
    • Removable design (or full washability) makes it simple to remove shrimp waste and leftover food, keeping the interior hygienic.

Structural Details (Refer to the White Honeycomb Shrimp House in the Illustrations)

  • Enclosure: Rectangular shape with a surface covered in honeycomb-shaped perforations, offering excellent air and light permeability to mimic a natural cave.
  • Hole Diameter: 3–5 mm, suitable for most ornamental shrimp sizes (adults about 2–3 cm long, juveniles about 0.5–1 cm).
  • Base: Equipped with non-slip feet (or weight blocks) to ensure stable placement and prevent sliding.
  • Color Options: White, transparent, or stone-like finishes to match various aquarium styles.

Application Scenarios

  • Shrimp Breeding: Provides a safe refuge for gravid females and juveniles, significantly improving juvenile survival rates.
  • Mixed-Stock Aquaria: When co-housed with small fish such as guppies or danios, it reduces the likelihood of shrimp being attacked.
  • Aquarium Decoration: The honeycomb design is natural and minimalist, complementing live plants and driftwood to enhance the aquarium’s organic, natural feel.
