Pen Holder

Hi everyone! 👋 I’m the creator of this “Gluttonous Hippo Pen Holder”! 😄
The inspiration for this design is actually pretty fun—once, while visiting the zoo and watching the hippos, I noticed how their wide-open mouths looked both goofy and adorable, as if they were saying, “Hurry up and give me something tasty!” That’s when I had an idea: what if we turned a hippo into a pen holder, letting it “eat” my pens? Wouldn’t that be hilarious? And so the “Gluttonous Hippo” design was born!
I used 3D printing to bring this cute concept from my imagination into reality. Look—the plump, round body, the short little legs, and that big, gaping mouth that can “swallow” a pen—all the curves have been meticulously refined again and again to make it even cuter and more heartwarming. The fine textured surface is the natural finish of the printing material; in fact, I think this slight “roughness” actually makes the hippo look more like a real stone-carved animal, with a satisfying tactile feel when you touch it.
The best part is the design of its mouth—it’s just the right size to hold a single pen (or even two, like in the picture with the black, white, and orange color scheme, which looks super lively!). When you stick a pen inside, the hippo seems to really be “biting” it, as if it’s about to shake its head and scamper off any moment now. Placed on your desk, it’s not just a pen holder—it’s a little mischievous trickster that “steals” your pens, making every time you reach for a pen feel like you’re interacting with it!
