The caps commonly used for airbrush cleaning bottles are often repurposed from leftover fermented bean curd (tofu) jars found at home—these jars typically have an outer diameter of around 68–70 mm. For the sealing gasket, you can either purchase a 72–73 mm silicone seal or print one using TPU (the printing configuration includes a dedicated gasket model). As for the filter cotton, I use 25–30 mm PP filter pads—available in bulk on PDD for just a few yuan each—and I’ve been printing the soft stopper that fits over the nozzle using TPU 95A; it feels quite rigid. I ordered TPU 85A, but it’s still on its way—wondering if that’ll yield a better result.

There are two designs available: with and without handles—print whichever suits your needs.

Fermented Bean Curd Bottle

For printing materials, I’m using BIQU PLA Go in white and LanDu TPU 95A in red. The TPU 85A I ordered from Ruiben is still on its way—I’ll give it a try once it arrives. I’ve also seen test videos showcasing BIQU TPU 75A, though I haven’t been able to locate those videos yet.

The silicone sealing gasket was sourced online as a cost‑efficient option—if you have an 88VIP shopping card, you can snag it for 2 RMB cheaper.

As for the soft nozzle designed to hold the airbrush, I’m not sure if there’s a ready‑made version available—but TPU 95A is quite stiff. Once I receive the TPU 85A, I’ll give it a shot. The 200g trial pack from Ruiben costs just 16 RMB.

Consumables: 50 pieces of 2.5 cm diameter PP filter cotton for 4 RMB—cost per piece = 4/50 = 0.02 RMB.
