Design Description:

The Dragon Boat Race, a national-level intangible cultural heritage, embodies the spirit of unity, perseverance, and striving for excellence. The dynamic imagery of oars slicing through water serves as the core inspiration for this model. I have deconstructed and reassembled the dragon boat oars into wind turbine blades; driven by wind power, these blades create overlapping patterns of light and shadow, recreating the visual impact of “thousands of oars racing forward.” This design is a kinetic installation that seamlessly blends cultural heritage, scientific education, and artistic beauty, imbuing a static model with the cultural tension of dynamic storytelling and breathing new life into this ancient intangible cultural treasure.

Printing Instructions:

① By default, we recommend printing with the build plate facing down. Before printing, ensure the print bed is clean and level—use dish soap to clean it or perform a first-layer primer.

However, if your first layer is severely flawed and cannot be fixed, consider printing with the model facing “upward.”

② By default, the oar components are printed in 6 layers. The “Oar” configuration offers options of 4-, 5-, or 6-layer oars.

Assembly Instructions:

You can assemble the parts simply following the numbered sequence provided in the print file. Be careful not to over-tighten the top nuts. An example assembly process is shown below (the GIF animation may appear slower):
