  • LED riser

I was looking for an LED riser for my Centauri Carbon, but couldn't find one that I liked, so decided to design one in Fusion 360. This is loosely based on one I downloaded and printed for my Bambu Lab P1S, in that it has diffusers to dim the ultra bright Cob LED strip. If you want very bright you can use it without the diffusers, but for me the light is plenty bright enough with the diffusers in place. it takes approximately 1.3m of LED strip. I purchased a cheap 2m 5V USB powered 8mm Cob LED strip on AliExpress for a few bucks and am powering it with a USB adapter plugged into a wall socket. Should be able to go up to 12mm LED strip, but I haven't tried this as I only have 8mm strips. There is an access hole in the rear left frame to feed the LED strip through. I have added an Elegoo 3mf file, although I printed mine on my Bambu Lab printer due to it being more reliable and better quality than my Elegoo. Printed in PLA with 0.4mm nozzle, 0.2mm layer height and around 10% infill. I have used slim tree supports to help with the LED recess overhang and these work fine.

For anyone interested in the P1S riser that I borrowed the diffuser idea from, here is the link:

Thanks to Make 3D for that. I'm loving that riser on my P1S's
