We’ve prepared three creative directions to help spark your imagination:
Direction One: Filigree Wearables
Imagine light filtering through precisely printed openings, casting shifting shadows across the neck, ears, or fingertips as the wearer moves.
Earrings and necklaces might let light dance across the skin through lattices, perforated volumes, or interlocking layers. Hairpins, brooches, or wearable rings could appear light and delicate while relying on carefully engineered structures capable of subtle movement, vibration, or balance. Expand beyond jewelry: shoes, bags, or wristwear can also use 3D printing to create volumetric textures, internal lattices, or articulated forms that interact with the body and motion in new ways.
Reference inspiration: dewdrops on spiderwebs, butterfly wing structures, eroded metal textures, folded and layered textiles.

Direction Two: Perforated Lighting
By day, these designs exist as sculptural objects; by night, they reveal their true function through light and shadow. A well-crafted perforated lamp is more than a functional object—it is a quiet sculpture of light, where internal structures shape mood and emotion.
Explore lighting designs that cast dappled patterns reminiscent of forest canopies or expansive star-filled skies. Challenge the conventional lampshade by using layered voids, skeletal frameworks, or generative structures to create visual effects of suspension, fragmentation, or organic growth—made possible through additive manufacturing.
Reference Inspiration: The inner spiral of a seashell, the play of light and shadow in paper-cutting art, biological structures revealed through X-ray imaging, morning light filtering rhythmically through blinds.

Direction Three: Openwork Décor
Openwork is not only meant to be seen—it invites interaction. This direction explores how everyday objects can become visually engaging through thoughtfully designed voids and structures, while remaining fully printable and functional.
We envision bookshelves that reveal their contents through open frameworks, room dividers that reinterpret classical motifs with modern geometry, handbags or baskets that use lattice or mesh structures as visual focal points, and 3D-printed reinterpretations of traditional Chinese New Year paper-cuttings for windows.
Reference Inspiration: The warm texture of woven rattan, gifts softly veiled in lace, the structural order of a honeycomb, colors glimpsed through a mesh bag.

We’ve prepared two creative directions to help spark your imagination:
A. Pixel
Do you still remember the dazzling glow of old-school arcades and pixelated worlds? From 8-bit heroes to blocky adventures, pixels carry a charm that never fades. Reimagine that nostalgic energy—or push it into new realms—through your 3D designs.
Reference inspiration: pixel-style characters, voxel landscapes, retro game aesthetics…
B. Mechanical
More than just gears and steel, mechanical style is about movement and interaction. From intricate machines to articulated models that can pose, transform, spin, or even charm with cuteness—mechanical creations are all about bringing designs to life in dynamic ways. Whether sleek and futuristic or playful and toy-like, show us how your mechanical model can move, function, or surprise.
Reference inspiration: transformable robots, interactive toys, infinite fidget…
